Chocolate has, unsurprisingly, featured rather a lot this Easter weekend in the form of variously sized eggs, a family of bunnies and gooey cake. There's been other good stuff, too – a visit from the Girlie and her beloved, a batch of hot cross buns (maybe not quite as light and airy as usual but vegan, sticky and delicious), trying out new recipes for a pick and mix supper, a lively game of Scrabble, rummaging at a charity book sale in the market town up the road, walks with Boo, blue skies, fields of vibrant rapeseed.
So, Sunday night. I'm high on sugar with a stack of bargainous reads and the mister is laid low after spending a couple of days in hospital with a fractured ankle (courtesy of a very large and very exuberant dog at the animal shelter).
